A pedestrian bridge and a street in Liepāja will be rebuilt for more than two million euros.

In Liepāja, the reconstruction of Ezermalas Street and the pedestrian bridge over the Trade Canal will begin this week according to the construction project developed by SIA “Firma L4”. The total length of the street to be reconstructed is 1.1 kilometers, the bridge – 115.5 meters. The main works in this project are the reconstruction of Ezermalas Street and the bridge for pedestrians and cyclists, which includes the reconstruction of roadways, exits and connections to neighboring properties and the branch of the street to Parka Street, the reconstruction of the sidewalk and the construction of a bicycle path, as well as the construction of a parking lot and a parking area (for 92 cars), landscaping and environmental accessibility solutions, including the planting of 98 new trees, the construction of rainwater drainage, the reconstruction and construction of street lighting, as well as the reconstruction and construction of electricity, domestic sewage and water supply networks. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the bridge for pedestrians and cyclists includes the construction of an anti-slip deck, repair of bridge supports, cleaning and painting of bridge structures, construction of railings, water drainage solution and construction of lighting. The works are planned to be completed within 300 days and the facility will be commissioned in 2021.
