House prices increased by 1.0% over the year

In the 4th quarter of 2023, compared to the 4th quarter of 2022, housing prices increased by 1.0%, according to the latest preliminary data of the Central Statistics Office.

• Prices for new housing increased by 11.6%, while the average price level for used housing decreased by 2.1%.

In the 4th quarter of 2023, compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023, housing prices decreased by 2.5%:

• prices for new housing increased by 4.5%,
• used housing was 4.7% cheaper.

Compared to 2015, housing prices in the 4th quarter of 2023 were 88.5% higher. Prices for new housing increased by 101.2%, and for used housing – by 84.5%. Information on housing price changes in the 1st quarter of 2024 will be announced on June 14, 2024. The data for the 4th quarter of 2023 are preliminary. The final data will be published together with the preliminary data of the 1st quarter of 2024 on 14.06.2024.
