The deadline for submitting proposals for the new cadastral values is extended.
Taking into account the considerable interest of the public in the discussion process of the Cabinet of Ministers’ draft regulations “Regulations on the cadastral value base for 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025”, the deadline until August 28 has been extended until August 28, until which representatives of the public can submit proposals and objections, informs the State land service. The draft regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers and information supporting cadastral values can be found on the website of the State Land Service www.kadastralavertiba.lv and on the data publishing and e-services portal www.kadastrs.lv. In accordance with the Real Estate State Cadastre Law, the State Land Service has developed the projected cadastral values according to the situation in the real estate market as of July 1, 2019. The projected cadastral values have now been handed over to the public for public consultation in order to receive public suggestions and objections. The opinions received will be summarized and evaluated, and the State Land Service has already been given the task (protocol decision of the meeting of February 18, 2020 of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 7, § 25 § 4) after the publication of the new cadastral value base, to evaluate the need for changes in the approved cadastral valuation methodology and , if the changes are not related to data quality issues, then if necessary, develop and implement improvements and revise the designed cadastral values accordingly. At the same time, the Minister of Justice Jānis Bordāns (JKP) has instructed the State Land Service, after collecting and analyzing the proposals, to convene a meeting of the Real Estate Valuation Consultative Council, where the results of the public consultation would be presented and necessary changes would be discussed.
