The foundation stone for an office center worth 55 million euros has been laid in the center of Riga
In a solemn ceremony, the foundation stone of the new office center “Novira Plaza” was laid in the center of Riga, on Marijas Street. More than 55 million euros will be invested in the project, and it will be completed by June 2023.
“Novira Plaza” will be a sustainable and modern class A office center, consisting of four different buildings, three of which will be located on Satekles Street, and one on Marijas Street. The building will have several green areas and developed infrastructure suitable for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. In the future, the business environment of the city of Riga will be concentrated in this place, hopes the project manager of “Novira Capital” Undalgs Mētra: “This place on Satekles Street, which is part of the largest intersection of public transport in Latvia, seems very symbolic to us. We see it as a place where “togetherness will come together” or people, ideas, companies from Riga, Latvia, the Baltics and Europe will meet.” “Both Rail Baltica and this new office center “Novira Plaza” will noticeably change the city center. It is important that the city’s environment, panorama and infrastructure continue to develop, because the Central Station and this central square are the face of Riga, or the business card of the city,” says Riga Development committee chair Ines Anderson. In the implementation of the project, knowledge, experience and strength are combined by professionals from all three Baltic countries. Coins and newspapers of all three Baltic states were also placed in the capsule to symbolize this unity.
