The list of Verde’s anchor tenants is supplemented by KPMG
Confirming the dynamically growing demand for sustainable class A offices in Latvia, the international professional services provider KPMG in Latvia becomes the third anchor tenant of the future office complex “Verde”. It is not only this year’s largest office lease transaction in the capital of Latvia, but also an important turning point in the development of “Verde” – although the construction of the complex is still underway, the first building of Verde is more than 60% leased, while both buildings are already leased for almost 50 %. KPMG in Latvia is one of the largest professional service providers in the Baltics, which provides clients with audit, tax, legal, transaction consulting, data and analytics, cyber security, ESG and other consulting services. As the company’s team is constantly growing, a decision has been made to move its office to the new premises of “Verde” with an area of 3,000 m2, which are twice as large as the existing ones and will be located on the 7th and 8th floors of the A building. The entire current KPMG Latvia team of 250 people will work there, including the KPMG Law law firm, as well as specialists from the data, artificial intelligence and latest technology excellence center KPMG Lighthouse and the KPMG Cyber Security Center established in 2021. “When choosing new office premises for the ever-growing team of KPMG in Latvia, two aspects were important to us. First of all, by adapting to today’s flexible work style, create a work environment that promotes mutual cooperation and allows our team to feel good both physically and emotionally. Therefore, we have chosen the spacious and modern premises of “Verde”, which allow us to provide this. Secondly, it is important for us that the building is built in a responsible manner – thinking both about the minimization of environmental pollution and the energy efficiency solutions used in it,” says Armine Movsisjana, head of KPMG in Latvia. “Every day, our office complex is becoming more visually noticeable – energy-efficiency-enhancing lamellas are being installed on the facade of building A and interior work is underway, while the construction of building B is ahead of the original schedule, as a result of which six floors are already standing above the ground. In parallel with that, there is also an intensive process of attracting tenants, which, well, has culminated in the start of cooperation between us and KPMG in Latvia. I am really pleased that such a respectable company has become our long-term client, which proves that the care of modern employers for the well-being of their employees goes hand in hand with the growth of their business,” says Iveta Lāce, commercial director of “Verde”.
