The new building adds to the housing stock of the professional rental market
By investing more than 8 million euros, the leading housing developer “Bonava Latvija” put into operation its first multi-apartment building intended only for rent and specially designed for this purpose, with 96 energy-efficient and functional two- and three-room rental apartments.
The nine-storey building is located in the new housing project “Krasta kvartāls”, on Grēdu Street, already known to the residents of the Krasta massif neighborhood. Thanks to solar panel stations, electric car charging facilities and sustainable rainwater management infrastructure, the new apartment building is considered the most sustainable and greenest building of this function in Latvia. “According to the data of the real estate consulting company “Colliers”, the professional rental market in Riga and Pieriga currently consists of slightly more than 3,500 dwellings. If we look only at the new projects, there are about 1,000 such apartments. Therefore, I am truly satisfied that with the completion of our first rental house, we have been able to significantly supplement the housing stock of the professional rental market, offering tenants energy-efficient, semi-furnished apartments with a well-thought-out layout, which are highly we guarantee quality both as the author and builder of the project and as a professional rental service provider, borrowing the best experience in this field from our Scandinavian colleagues,” says Mareks Kļaviņš, Chairman of the Board of Bonava Latvija. 96 modern and functional two- and three-room apartments with an area of 34 to 62 square meters have been built in the new rental building at Grēdu street 17, which are equipped with an already built-in kitchen and all the necessary household appliances – a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a stove, a built-in oven, a hood, as also equipped bathroom with shower or bathtub, washing machine with dryer and mirror cabinet. Several built-in wardrobes, lighting fixtures, mirrors and curtain rods with day curtains are also installed in the apartments.
